Fête du soleil shines all across the province!
Our four dynamic monitors have been busy this summer, leading children at Fête du soleil camps across the province through a variety of fun and fascinating activities, and all en Français!
We've had lots of media coverage of our camps so far this summer. Here is one interview done by Radio-Canada's Justin Caron. (In French!)

Second Fête du soleil added in Regina!
Due to overwhelming interest in Fête du soleil, Canadian Parents for French – Saskatchewan’s (CPF-SK) summer day camp, the Regina chapter has signed on to host another week of fun-filled French adventures for children entering grade one to grade five.
The camp that runs from August 16-20 is filled to capacity, so the Regina Chapter will be hosting another camp August 9-13. The registration deadline is July 23, 2010. Limited space is available. For more information, please email cpfsask@sasktel.net, and read the press release here.
Fête du soleil 2010
This quality program is led by bilingual monitors, hired by Canadian Parents for French – Saskatchewan. Fête du soleil will provide your child with opportunities to experience and use French in a stimulating but relaxed setting outside the classroom. Children will enjoy many activities involving arts and crafts, music, drama, sports, and science. Those attending should understand basic instruction in French. Bonjour Saskatchewan is the result of years of hard work by the Coalition for the Promotion of French Language and Francophone Culture in Saskatchewan to promote the benefits of learning French and being exposed to the Francophone culture.
If you are thinking about the education of your children or grandchildren or if you would simply like to know more about the possibilities inherent in learning French, the Bonjour Saskatchewan website is for you. The information contained there will help you discover why the French language is a true gift!
Senate Page Program
The Senate of Canada is commited to having a skilled, diversified workforce reflective of Canadian society. If you are a bilingual university student and interested in enhancing your understanding of the Senate of Canada, then this program may be for you. Each year, the Senate Page Program selects fifteen university students from across Canada to study in the National Capitol Region and further their knowledge of parlimentary affairs.
