Is your child currently enrolled in an early French immersion program? We need your input for a research study on the role of parents of French immersion students. You are invited to participate in a 45-minute telephone interview at your convenience. Canadian Parents for French - Saskatchewan is once again offering their annual Rendez-vous 2007. This year's event will take place at Champêtre County, and will offer a western theme, all in French! December 8-6 - FRENCH FOR PARENTS LEVEL 2 CLASS
Canadian Parents for French - Saskatchewan (CPF-SK) is once again offering their Level 2 class. Level 2 is designed for people who have either completed Level 1, have studied French in high school or have some other French background. October 30-06 - MEADOW LAKE PARENTS WORK TO BRING FRENCH IMMERSION TO THE COMMUNITY
Canadian Parents for French - Saskatchewan (CPF-SK) is pleased to announce the formation of a new chapter in Meadow Lake. The chapter will play an important role in solidifying the link between CPF-SK and the local community, and is working towards establishing a French immersion program in Meadow Lake to begin in the fall of 2007.

July 14-06 - FÊTE DU SOLEIL ALREADY UNDERWAY
The CPF-SK summer day camp, Fête du soleil is already underway. It is a week-long travelling camp for children aged 5 to 11 learning French as a second language. The day camp will be held in various communities across the province.

January 16-06 - SASKATOON TO HOST PROVINCIAL CONCOURS D'ART ORATOIRE
On Saturday, April 29th, 2006, several students from across Saskatchewan will compete in the provincial final of Concours, a French public speaking competition. The winners from grades 11 and 12 will have a chance to go to the National Concours d'art oratoire, which will be held in Ottawa, May 27th, 2006. For more about Concours 2006, click on the "Youth Programs" section and find all information pertaining to the provincial and national Concours d'art oratoire.
December 15-05 - CPF-SK FEDERAL ELECTION QUESTIONNAIRE
In the interest of assisting the people of Saskatchewan in making an informed decision on January 23, CPF-SK has sent a brief questionnaire to each Saskatchewan candidate in the federal election about the importance of French-second-language education.

October 4-05 - NOW IS A GREAT TIME TO JOIN CANADIAN PARENTS FOR FRENCH - SASKATCHEWAN, AND LOCAL CHAPTERS WILL BENEFIT
CPF-SK is announcing a membership drive. From October 1 - December 31, 2005, CPF-SK will return 90% of membership fees for new and renewing members to the local chapter. The chapter that has the largest increase in membership will receive a French cultural event in their community. All new members' names will be entered into a random draw for a French-English dictionary. So join CPF-SK today!

June 1-05 - CANADIAN PARENTS FOR FRENCH ANNOUNCES WINNERS OF SEVEN UNIVERSITY OF OTTAWA SCHOLARSHIPS
On Saturday May 28, CPF held the National Concours d'art oratoire 2005 at the University of Ottawa, in Ottawa. Seven participants each received a $20,000 scholarship ($5,000 per year) to the University of Ottawa and an award funded through the Jos Scott Memorial Fund.

Royce Lee of Walter Murray Collegiate in Saskatoon was the recipient of the Canadian Parents for French - Saskatchewan Award for Top French Speaker in the senior category at the Provincial Saskatchewan Debate tournament, which was held in Yorkton on March 18-19, 2005. The annual event is hosted by the Saskatchewan Elocution and Debate Association (SEDA).
